Acer Chromebook Spin 311

I'm so happy with my new Chromebook !. I'm in the IT industry for 20+ year, been using most Windows most of the time. I purchased Acer 311 Chromebook(170$) just to feel how it is to work with ChromeOS. Wow, I can't believe this N4020 / 4GB machine is actually working way smoother and faster than windows on last generation I7 machines.

Had I read the reviews, I wouldn't have purchased this particular Chromebook. I use my digital camera a lot and my old Chromebook supported a regular sized sim card ( which is what is in my camera ) I have to use a card reader with my sim card now and it's a hassle. The connectivity is up to date too with Bluetooth 5.0 and my personal favorite, ports on both sides. I'm not quite sure what charger it came with is charging but I really like that it can charge off my 45w phone charger as well.

For the couple of hours I was really impressed, it worked perfectly, and much faster than my other Chromebooks. It is solid with a beautiful screen. It fits in the little [messenger that I bought for my Pixelbook. It holds the Acer fine.

Took on wifi with ease.

Cons:

Cannot set up printer on it.

The speakers are quite loud. I'd probably only use them for watching video while in the kitchen. If I wanted to follow a show, I'd use earbuds. Overall, I am really happy with this laptop and if you can get a deal on it like I did, jump at it.

Comparing to the Acer R11 I've had for 5 years. It's the same speed, same device, same screen, BUT it has worse speakers. Needs better speakers.
