Just bought my GF the Garmin Lily. She's not super active so it's perfect for her (no GPS without phone) as a smart watch that can track activities if she wants. Size is perfect. And battery lasts about 3 days with pulse ox on and regular use.

Personally I wouldn't go for it as it doesn't meet my needs being a) male - too small and wrong styling, b) needing GPS, c) having needs for offline mapping, wanting music and NFC payment options. I do love the Garmin platform for its health features (as well as fitness and training options), so if you are the same and the lily doesn't meet your needs, also look at the s models i.e. venu 2s/ vivoactive 4s (which my sister has and loves)/ Fenix 6s versions).
