Mar 26, 2021 ·  All in all, at S$248.99, the BackBeat FIT 3200 by Plantronics are a great pair of true wireless earbuds for those more athletically-inclined and looking for a pair of earbuds that comes with a noise-isolating function while being able to deliver truly deep bass. 

Keeping in line with the sports focus, the Plantronics BackBeat Fit 3200 are unlike many true wireless buds you've seen. They come with a zippered case that cradles each bud perfectly and offers a little pocket for the charging cable. Both case and buds have a soft rubbery touch that doesn't feel cheap at all. The buds have large ear loops that help secure them around your ear plus a small stabilizer that further steadies them in your ear. Thanks to that design and the rubber material used, they won't fall off no matter what you do or how sweaty you get. Runs, squats, jumps, burpees, and any other demanding gym routine won't manage to nudge them out. They're thatstable. Plantronics' entire Fit line-upso far has been focused on non-sealing ear tips for environmental awareness while exercising outdoor. The Plantronics BackBeat FIT 3200 offers a well-rounded sound that should fit most genres. It’s got a decent amount of tight bass, vocals offer good clarity and detail, and the treble is very well-mannered. At least in my preferred EQ setting.

Though often lusted after, noise-cancelling and fitness headphones aren’t always a good mix. Sure, being able to block out the world around you might help you get into ‘the zone’, but sometimes outside noise is something you still want for safety reasons. It’s into this niche that Plantronics’ first entry into the true wireless headphones category are poised to target. They’re the true wireless headphones for people who want true wireless headphones but don’t want occlusive listening experien... 

The Plantronics BackBeat FIT 3200 charge case. As is the way of these things, the Plantronics BackBeat FIT 3200 earbuds come in a case. But this one doesn’t snap open or use magnets to draw in the buds. It is somewhat soft on the outside and has a zipper around the circumference to keep it closed. 

What strikes me on the BackBeat PRO 5100 is that the case and earbuds are unbelievably lightweight and compact, it felt like they are dummy units. The matt plastic case can only hold 13 additional hours of charge while the earbuds can deliver up to 6.5 hours. Charging is by micro USB, presumably a decision to remain consistent with the rest of the wireless earbuds series. What I like about the case is that the case unlock button also works as a power button to allow an option to turn off the charger. The benefit is that I can choose to not charge the earbuds when I dock them, the same logic that I do not constantly charge my wireless earphones when not in use. With just one LED indicator on the case, the battery life is determined based on the blinking sequence To check the battery life, press the case button and watch the number of flashes on the case.
