I liked how easy it was to browse other people's creations, and more robust search options this time around allow you to drill down to find the exact level you want.

Jul 03, 2019 ·  This isn’t Super Mario Story Mode 2 though: this is Super Mario Maker 2, and the clear highlight is of course the Maker Mode, which allows players to create a nigh-on infinite amount of levels.

It comes as no surprise that the section dedicated to crafting your own Super Mario levels is superb. Any concerns I had about controller-based input versus the 3DS and Wii U’s touch input melted away after a short period of adjustment.

Super Mario Maker 2 takes everything you know and love about the original, and just adds more. All the creation tools, enemies, widgets and doodads that were included in the first game are back, plus a few new items including the angry sun and poison mushroom, which everyone loves to hate.
