Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition is the perfect way to play one of the best RPGs. Even though it came out in 2011 for the Nintendo Wii, its age doesn’t really show. Now, with enhanced visuals and a new story chapter, this definitive edition is an attempt at perfectness on the lovely Nintendo Switch, and it mostly succeeds.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is a remaster of the original Wii JRPG that includes several quality of life features, improved graphics, and a brand new epilogue. I did play the original game, as well as the other two Xenoblade games. I’m also a longtime fan of the Xeno series, having previously played Xenogears and the Xenosaga trilogy.

Overall, Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is an excellent addition to the incredible port and remake library of the Nintendo Switch. Its quality-of-life improvements, great visuals in docked mode and brilliant story and world-building make it a must buy, whether you’ve played the original or not.
