In many respects it's a more compact mirrorless variant of the EOS 90D DSLR that was announced simultaneously. Physically, it closely resembles the original M6 but brings a host of speed and feature upgrades.

The X-Pro3's images are very good for APS-C but sensor performance hasn't improved so much that it can catch up to the relatively modern sensor in the D750. At any given exposure, the D750's sensor will have the chance to capture 2.3x (1.22EV) more total light than the X-Pro3's does.
