On paper, the Vive Cosmos Elite is a great headset—maybe one of the best. It's the top-tier offering from HTC, one of two companies that kicked off the VR revolution back in 2016. It's not cheap.

It can’t compete with the top-dollar VR available on other platforms and it’s tiring to hold it up to your face for more than an hour at a time, but it still includes plenty of wacky and wonderful Nintendo magic, best exemplified by the Elephant Toy-Con. 

The VR Kit isn’t as social or large-scale as some other Labo kits, but the lengthy crafting process is the real joy here, and Nintendo is careful to remind you not to spend too long in the headset.
