Accessible, immersive VR experience for beginners. Toy-Cons are clever and fun to build. Toy-Con Garage VR lets you make your own games. 

Nintendo has already committed to bringing Labo steering wheel to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (the Variety Kit motorcycle handlebars will, too). Hopefully these steering options become usable in more games.

Apr 16, 2019 ·  Labo VR is Nintendo’s most innovative and creative Labo kit to date. It can’t compete with the top-dollar VR available on other platforms and it’s tiring to hold it up to your face for more than an hour at a time, but it still includes plenty of wacky and wonderful Nintendo magic, best exemplified by the Elephant Toy-Con. 

The VR Kit isn’t as social or large-scale as some other Labo kits, but the lengthy crafting process is the real joy here, and Nintendo is careful to remind you not to spend too long in the headset. 

The NINTENDO LABO TOY-CON VR KIT is the latest installment of Nintendo’s toy/mini-game collection/programming studio for the Nintendo Switch. While the previous kits in the franchise explored a set of vehicles, as well as well as toys and robots, this kit takes players farther into the virtual world than before.

The Labo VR kit is a decent bit of hardware and software, but it is in no way comparable to the more pricey VR headsets. Labo VR provides a cheap(er) option ideal for younger audiences, while also being a neat entry point for everyone else to experience a virtual space.
