Sep 18, 2019 · Sonos Move When you first encounter the Move, Sonos' first portable speaker, be prepared for something big. At 9.44 inches tall and 6.6 pounds (3 kg), it's significantly larger than the Sonos One...

Sep 29, 2020 · The Sonos Move offers on-the-go Bluetooth play, as well as integrating with a multi-room networked speaker system over Wi-Fi. In this way, it’s got most of the functionality of a regular Sonos,...

Jun 16, 2020 · Sonos Move: Charging and battery life The Move's battery life lives up to Sonos promise of 10 hours on a full charge. For this review, I played a variety of genres at different noise levels nonstop...

Sep 21, 2020 · The Sonos Move looks great and will blend into the design of any situation. Sonos isn’t known for making tough speakers, but that changes with the Move. Sonos stepped up the durability factor for the Move speaker: it has an IP56 weatherproof build and the company claims it’s shockproof, too.

Jun 08, 2020 · The Sonos Move is an excellent first Bluetooth speaker from the company. It stretches the definition of a portable speaker somewhat, but it has all the features you'd expect from a Sonos product,...

However, if you were expecting a battery-powered, Bluetooth version of the Sonos One, think again. Physically, the Move towers over the One. Compared to the majority of portable Bluetooth speakers, and indeed anything Sonos currently offers, it is relatively tall (24cm) and heavy (3kg). We can’t imagine many people will be throwing it in their luggage and taking it away on holiday. It's more suited to becoming a semi-permanent fixture in a room of your house and taken for occasional spins in the garden when the weather permits. Or, indeed, when it doesn’t. The Move is IP56-rated dust and water-resistant, meaning it should be protected from ‘harmful dust’ and ‘strong water jets from all directions’. That’s not the only new design trait to accommodate the Move’s portability either. A recessed area around its rear that your hand can slide into means that, despite its size and weight, it is fairly easy to move around. The Black Show finish (slightly lighter in shade to the traditional S...

Sep 18, 2019 · The Sonos Move is considerably larger than the Sonos One, Apple HomePod, or a typical Bluetooth speaker such as the UE Boom 2. In a pleasant surprise, the battery in the Move is replaceable, so...

Jul 13, 2020 · The Sonos Move shifts this paradigm. At $399, the Move is far from cheap, but it delivers powerful audio in a battery-powered, outdoor-friendly design. It's quite large for a portable speaker, but...

Jun 17, 2020 · The Sonos Move is a lot of things: A portable Bluetooth speaker with 10-hours of battery life, a Wi-Fi speaker with AirPlay 2, and a smart speaker with your choice of Alex or Google Assistant...

Like the Symfonosk speakers Sonos recently launched with Ikea, the Move is a new kind of product for Sonos, and we hope it’s just the start of a new, wider world for the 17-year-old smart speaker...

Sep 18, 2019 · The Sonos Move has the same design ethos as these newer Sonos speakers, with rounded edges, capacitive controls and an almost identical top to the Sonos One - albeit oval shaped and with...

Jan 20, 2020 · The Sonos Move might not be cheap, at $399, but that's because you get everything all in one portable unit. This is a battery powered smart speaker that you can take anywhere, even outside thanks to IP56 weatherproofing. The speaker is nice and minimal in terms of design and transportability.

Oct 11, 2019 · The aptly named Sonos Move is the first Sonos speaker that you can take with you and easily move around the house, the backyard, and just about anywhere else. Design & durability When it comes to design, the Sonos Move more or less resembles a huge Sonos One.

Sonos Move review: voice control and other features Thanks to the same powerful mics that enable the TruePlay tuning, controlling Alexa and Google Assistant doesn't involve too much shouting. They...

Oct 17, 2019 · With the Sonos Move the company offers the first opportunity to enjoy its signature sound without having to plug into an outlet. Overall, the Move feels like a standard Sonos speaker with all of the accompanying audio quality that also has a battery, and can thus be moved out into the garden or onto the porch when you feel like basking in the sun.

To listen to the Move at home, you’ll want to connect the speaker to your Wi-Fi network. The onboard dual-band 802.11n Wi-Fi adapter provides significant range that should enable you to listen just about anywhere in even a large yard, provided you have a good router. That will also enable you to sync it to all your other Sonos components in a multi-room audio system. You can pair two Move speakers as a wireless stereo pair when connected to Wi-Fi, but you can’t pair the Move with the Sonos Sub. The Move also supports Apple’s AirPlay 2 audio technology. I evaluated the Move while connected to a three-node Samsung SmartThings Wifi router that I’m in the process of reviewing, and I was able to wander impressively long distances around my rural property without the speaker dropping off my network. In fact, the Move maintained its Wi-Fi connection even at the end of my more-than-300-foot-long driveway. Unfortunately, my Pixel 2 XL couldn’t match that performance, so I had assumed that le...

Mar 06, 2020 · Sonos Move review: What you need to know. If you were hoping for a Sonos speaker to pop in your suitcase and travel the world with, however, you’re going to be disappointed. The Sonos Move is ...

Sonos One full review. The Sonos Move is the first Sonos speaker you can easily pick up and move around your home without worrying about the wiring involved. It’s also the first Sonos speaker you can use via Bluetooth. The two scenarios sound similar but to the degree to which the Sonos Move succeeds at delivering them varies.
