Olympus Tough TG-6 vs Fujifilm X100V

Macro is exceptional and underwater photos are very strong (easily the best among other compact UW cameras). Dynamic range is very good and shadows are often properly exposed (unlike most other UW cameras that consistently underexpose shadows). Despite this camera having only 12 MP, it frequently provides cleaner and more detailed images than its 16 and 20 MP competitors. The custom settings are awesome

It looks like they’ve stopped manufacturing cases for newer iPhone models now though. I got great results with it especially at shallower depths or in good vis where the image quality tended to be better than my TG5 with housing. I’d say past about 15m, in lower light or with macro, the TG would perform better. The optical zoom was superior on the TG too

If you need, it also has a digital zoom function that can simulate focal lengths of 50 or 70mm. The lens also has a built-in ND filter to help you shoot at slow shutter speeds or wide apertures in bright environments. Its effective autofocus system, combined with its relatively fast max shooting speed of 10 fps, should also help in capturing clear photos of moving subjects.

The average improves (2,218 lines), and the edges of the frame show decent clarity (1,828 lines). There is also an f/8 option, but it's not an actual aperture setting—instead, it activates a 3-stop neutral density filter.

The x100 V resolves almost all of this, while adding more. Besides, the redesign lens now delivers, satisfyingly crisp results near and far the screen...

I bought this camera to have an alternative to my cell phone to record strongman and highland games training videos, often outdoors and in the cold. I thought it would be nice to not have my phone monopolized on a tripod, so I could check my program without messing up the position of the camera I use to record technique videos to send to my coaches. Although the camera has a high-speed recording mode that shoots slow-motion footage at 120 fps, it's unfortunately only available in 1080p. The camera also lacks any stabilization feature, though the short focal length of its built-in lens means you can still get usable footage out of it if you don't want to use a tripod or gimbal. That said, the fixed focal length can also be a drawback if you prefer to shoot video with a zoom lens. All in all, though, this makes for a surprisingly good hybrid camera, especially for travel or less advanced video work

We finally bought another adapter and 2 lens covers for about $17 - Filter Adapter JJC Conversion Lens Ring Adapter Ring Mount 40.5mm Filter and 2 Pack JJC 40.5mm Front Lens Cap Cover with Deluxe Cap Keeper - they're not as good due to having to deal with a hanging lens cap, but work alright. Sooner or later the lens will be scratched without a cover

It's always present always doing its thing. It looks great but be forewarned if you shoot RAW and then use third-party software other than the Fujifil...

They lose sharpness. Thus, you would likely want to use f6.3. Autofocus seems to be reasonably accurate using a Spyder Lenscal
